| Description: Assesses patients for educational, physiological, psychosocial, comfort and safety needs. Assists in planning and coordinating care, gathering data under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Performs treatments/procedures and administers medications within the Idaho Practice Guidelines for Licensed Practical Nurses under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Follows up with other associates, other disciplines, physicians, and others as necessary or appropriate. Maintains and follows guidelines set for current licensing, educational training, Standards of Practice of Quality Patient Care, and Infection Control Practices as required by state, federal, and facility recommendations. One year of hospital nursing experience is desired. Assumes only responsibilities for which proper education has been provided and which are accepted by the Idaho Board of Nursing. Currently licensed in the State of Idaho to practice the nursing profession. |
