Welcome to Teton Valley
Teton Valley, Idaho straddles the southwest border of Wyoming and the southeast border of Idaho. It is a rural community, which includes 3 small cities, and several outlying rural communities, including Alta, Wyoming and Grand Targhee Resort. Its population of just under 8,000 people conceals its rapid growth rate of over 30% just in the last 5 years. Teton Valley is also home to a growing second-home community of people who visit to enjoy the spectacular outdoors and quiet environment.
Teton Valley hosts a vibrant business community and many unique restaurants and shops. The valley's amenities include a series of pathways, including a paved path that connects Driggs to Victor, only eight miles away, as well as several trails that are groomed for cross country skiing in the winter. Teton Valley residents are active community members, resulting in many organizations to promote the local arts, protect the local environment, and improve education. The local school district includes a newly built high school, and has recently passed a bond to build a new middle school. There are also several private schools in the valley.
Teton Valley is surrounded by national forests, two national parks, and BLM land. The north end of Teton Valley borders Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park is visible from the valley floor. Several ski resorts can be reached within a short drive from the valley, including Grand Targhee Resort, only 13 miles from the county seat, Driggs.
